Inside the New Aspire Lounge at Liverpool Airport: A First Look
From Beatles artwork to flat whites and cocktails, the new Luxe by Aspire lounge at Liverpool John Lennon Airport is redefining what an airport lounge can be.

The moment I walked through the doors of the new Luxe by Aspire lounge, I knew this was something different.
The first thing that hit me was the aesthetic. Modern, clean, warm. The kind of space that makes you feel like you've been upgraded before you've even reached the gate.
A Lounge That Tells Liverpool's Story
There's a thoughtfulness to the design that you don't always find in airport lounges, and it sets the tone for everything that follows.
I loved the striking mural that runs through the heart of the lounge, a visual celebration of Liverpool's culture, heritage and identity. Albert Dock, Pier Head, the city's iconic architectural landmarks. It's the kind of detail that makes you stop and look rather than just pass through. There is also a stunning flowing fabric ceiling installation representing the River Mersey.
Entering the Luxe lounge you’re welcomed by a bespoke marble table with the Liver Building Clocks etched into the surface. There's also a canvas collectively created by The Beatles in 1966 during their Tokyo tour, woven with imagery of instruments, concertgoers and lyrics from Liverpool's most celebrated artists.
Even when you first walk in, the reception backdrop captures the patina of the Liver Birds themselves, and the warm tones throughout mirror exactly what Liverpool does best: making you feel genuinely welcome.

Food and Drink Worth Travelling For
I went for a lemon and poppy seed cake with a flat white, and it was genuinely one of the better airport coffees I've had. The coffee stations offer multiple milk alternatives, which is a small touch but one that matters. The sweet chilli chicken strips were excellent. There's also an upgrade menu available to order from, including pizza and burgers, which was clearly popular with other guests.
The range is impressive. Whether you're vegan, vegetarian or have other dietary requirements, there's something here for you. And for Luxe by Aspire guests, or those willing to pay a little extra, cocktails are also on the menu.

Designed for Every Type of Traveller
What I appreciated most was how well the space has been thought out. There are workstations for people travelling on business, booths for families and groups, and a quieter area for solo travellers who just want to decompress before their flight. It doesn't feel like a one-size-fits-all lounge. It feels like somewhere that's been designed around how people actually travel.
The staff matched the space. Friendly, professional and genuinely knowledgeable. They made what could have been a functional stop feel like a real experience.
Would I Go Back?
Yes, and I'd go out of my way to do it. If I'm honest, this lounge has made Liverpool John Lennon Airport a place I'd actively choose to fly from. That's not something I say lightly.
If you're travelling through Liverpool and you haven't tried the Luxe by Aspire lounge yet, it's worth the visit.
