The Hotel Pics

The Room after I gave it that lived in look,
Very Comfy Bed and no squeaks, If ya know waht I mean

My fireplace and though you can't see it there is a fridge and microwave
plus coffee pot for those who need their caffeine in the morning.
The fireplace is a working one and got lots of use keeping the room toasty in the evenings for when
we got out of the jacuzzi, the mirror over it looks really nice by naked candle light. Some very nice antiques decorated the room

This is a picture of the Walk through windows which all the windows in the hotel are for the most part.  Only banged the head once.  I would suggest putting a stonger handle in the middle of the frame.  the ones there were a little weak and we were afraid they would come off plus it needed some wd-40 as it squeeked loudly when opening or closing.  But I can certainly understand how wonderful they were in those summers before airconditioning and it was a unique touch.

This was our favorite spot - The jacuzzi with Les reclining in it - we spent lots and lots of time here and it was really really nice.
Very secluded but not totally private as someone could peek through the lattice if they were walking by the other side.
However there were no otehr rooms on the other side of so we only had someone walk buy once. The view of the gardens from it was exceptional and there were enough plants and trees that even when it rained all night we didn't get more than an occasional spatter.  Romantic in the extreme.

The Pics below are all of the gtarden from carious position such as my balcony and walking around.
They have a room called the secret garden which is the one I want to stay in next time.
It is completely disconnected from the house and was original probably the potting shed or some such thing.
To keep the secret I have not shown any pictures of the secret garden. But it is hidden in the jungle somewhere

Overall I give the hotel a very strong 8 on a scale of 10 and would recommend it to anyone seeking a romantic getaway.
Things I particularly liked were of course the private jacuzzi, the complete isolation inthe middle of a city and the friendly staff.  Guests are left pretty much on their own and aren't bothered.  The rooms are beautiful and the house itself is just gorgeous. I also liked the fact that there are no children allowed and that only guest are allowed on the premises which means no loud parties of crazy people to ruin the seclusion.

Things that knocked it down from a perfect ten.  The staff completely ignored the do not disturb sogn and came into the room to clean anyway which is okay but not what I was expecting.  However I did go through a lot of towels so it was probably better this way and they may need to check the jacuzzis daily so that could be the explanation.  They did always make sure we were gone before they came in so they never actually disturbed us.  I just prefer to be left totally alone and don't require someone to make my bed every day.

The most disappointing part of the accomidations is that I was expecting an antuque tub and all I got was a seriously sorry shower.  Now the description of the room did not include the tub though several other rooms have them.  I didn't read the description well enough so that is my fault.  However, the shower was abismal, terrible water pressure, A hand held massage shower head that wasn't worth the effort with the pressure they had and a very cheap shower surround which needs to be resealed or they will have water damage inthe near future.  Replace it with a tile shower and a regular faucet head and it would be much better.  But I only used it to wash the hair and rinse from the jacuzzi.  They do offer highspeed DSL service in the rooms but you have to bring a laptop with a cable/dsl modem.  I brought a real computer and it totally slipped my ming that I would need and modem to access it.  I should have known better.  The Inn might consider hooking up with a local computer store or buying some modems of their own to rent.  I would have paid 5.00 a day to have one.

That said I would not hesitate to go back and spend that 500.00 again in the same room with the same bad shower although I am more likely to try a different room just to explore.  Overall an excellent place to stay
