A Rainy Night in Kentucky

It's a cold, rainy night in Kentucky. The wind is rustling the leaves, whirling them in a distorted jig at times. My 100 year old house gives a little creak here, a soft sigh there. I have fresh bread in the oven, and I have turned everything off except, obviously, the internet. All is peaceful here in my World, at least for another 10 minutes or so. Then my husband will be home, and control will switch. Ah well, nothing lasts for ever.

But for now, Beth is asleep, and the dogs are curled up beside me as I frantically type this brief blog. I'm thankful that I have this oportunity, and very thankful for the friend who thought enough to send it to me. Things might be bad, but hopefully they'll get better soon. I try to remind myself that things could always be worse.

So, I'm thankful.

Have a good night D2,

The other D.
