On the Road Again - No Wait - My First Road Trip

Mommy and Daddy in a desperate attempt to escape work, home, the 107 degree heat index and grandma(Just kidding) took me to Kansas for my first road trip. Daddy and I got to see Kansas for the first where mommy grew up and of course mommy's friend Lindsey. She is the real reason we went. Also got to meet my Aunt Shirley and My Grandma Jean For the first time. We went, we saw, we came back and brought you pictures of my first road trip.

We started and ended the trip in the car. Grammy warned mommy about all the hazards of traveling with a small child, but little ole me proved once again that grammy just worries too much and I of course was the perfect traveler. Would have been a great picture but there is an arm or a thumb in the way. I thought this was a geat excuse to eat and take lots of naps.

And this is a picture of my daddy driving

I have lots of scenery pictures so I am just going to toss them in between pictures so you feel like you are going somewhere too. One really great thing Oklahoma and Kansas both have is great empty field scenery and big big big skys that go on for miles. I didn't get to see any big storms or tornados while I was there but mom did call me toto a few times. (Whatever that means) Here is a great sunset.

First stop for which we were all greatful because we didn't leave until late and didn't arrive until very early was my Aunt Shirley's house. Aunt Shirley is My gramp's sister. I have a feeling she will be one of those important people in my life.

This one is a picture of my very first cows. They are big, but not very friendly, They didn't even come over to say hello.

Next we went to Lindsey's, We were planning on stopping and seeing Dona, Grammy's Best friend but unfortuantely there was a plague going around at their house and mommy didn't think we wanted any. Maybe next time. Lindsey decided I needed a hat so now I have one

.
But I would rather have the phone and someday soon I am going to be able to reach out and take it. I keep practicing with the arms but I just don't have the control I need yet

Here are more of us playing

And me with Momma Joyce - Lindsey's Mom

And here is mommy and Lindsey being silly

Daddy didn't feel very good on the trip so we didn't visit too many other places. And two days isn't much for visiting a whole town.

On our way back to Texas we stopped and Saw Grandma Jean. She is one of grammy and mommy's favorite people and they have adopted her as an honorary grandma. Grammy keeps telling me that Jean is who she wants to be when she grows up. She has little really cool little dog that was running in circles and making me laugh.

Jean also has this picture is her garage that show we may in some strange fashion be semi-step related. This picture is of Jean's frontier relatives that moved to the Oklahoma area when it was first opened up to settlers. Now the strange part is the guy in this picture looks exactly like My grammy's Step Father Jim. I don't think he has ever even been to Oklahoma. Very Very Strange
We have meaning to take a picture of this pictuer for years to show to him. But Mommy was the first one who managed

More Road, More Road

For the last picture You get this weeks family pic

Now I am home again and guess what, while I was gone grammy bought me more toys, too bad I am teething and cranky, But they are cool when I am not screaming

Just when you thought is was safe

I have been hearing lately that grammy is almost forrty which explains why she is so slow getting stuff up here for me. Forty sounds really old when you are only 4 months. Good thing I don't understand number concepts yet.

Any who, Been having myself a grand old time in the last two weeks and here is an assortment of me in various positions and poses. All of them Cute of course. And a surprise at the end. But no PEEKING.

Here is Grammy pretending to be Anne Geddes Again, Don't think she quite made it

Here is me with my new pony in my fancy farmer jeans

Here I am practicing my smiles

And again

And again, I am just a barrel full of laughs.

After careful inspection I have decided that Pooh likes hanging over my head

These next 3 are grammy's favorites and she didn't even take them

And the best one of all - We may have to start getting more prints

The proper way to celebrate the end of summer in Corpus Christi is to go swimming in October. So thats just what we did. It was my first time int he pool. But its cool, I am handling it like a pro.

Am I loved or what

And then there was that surprise I promised you. Well somebody let mommy and daddy lose with a pair of scissors and you know what happens next. It took forty minutes of fussin and cussin but eventually it was my first Haircut.

Just goes to show that even parents with scissors can't take my abosolute adorableness away.
And now I can even see without all that hair in my eyes.
