Quilts for my baby girls finished about 9 on Christmas eve with Emilys. This is the last for at least another decade. They are fun but they are work and mine are totally cheat quilts. I have great respect for people out there who make the real kind, by hand no less. I would be lost without my sewing machine. A great thanks goes to the hubby who seeing my desperation to get the embroidery work done before christmas took it upon himself to help me, yes the man not only does dishes and laundry but he can in fact sew. There are reasons I keep him. My favorite method of cheating this year has been with the help of my photo pronter. They now make or you can make paper size sheets of fabric that can be printed onto and waterproofed. This allows you to use any picture you can get on the web or any digital photo to help make decorative item. The small dragonfly graphic used in Aprils quilt started as a tattoo on a womans arm. Carefully cropped and cleaned up then slapped onto a new background. The embroidered dragonflys started out as little printed dragonflys. I sewed right through them which gave me a pattern to use.

Miss Emmy's Quilt - Much Smaller - No Embroidery

Her eyes remind be of my grandmothers face in this picture it is sorta eerie
since she is the one who taught me how to sew and the machine used is from her legacy

My babies snuggly and warm - May you always have a warm spot to sleep in
